Handsurfing is a surfing sport where you surf a wave with a handboard. You mainly use your own body dynamics and movement, as well as the board as support, to ride the wave and move forward.
Handsurfing is a good alternative to regular surfing or bodysurfing, as it requires less or smaller and more affordable equipment, making it cheaper and easier to learn. It can also serve as a more intensive upper body workout and offer more freedom and flexibility in the water.
Board:
The hand surfboard is handcrafted from natural, FSC-certified hardwood and then sealed with eco-friendly varnish. This provides ideal protection against water, allowing the boards to be used in the sea without any problems.
Signs of wear and tear are naturally unavoidable for a wooden sports product. We generally recommend treating the boards accordingly.
As with all wooden products, it helps to seal any rough spots on the boards with varnish or natural oil (olive oil, sunflower oil, etc.). However, this is only necessary for aesthetic reasons.
EASY HACK: Sometimes, after intensive use, some areas of the board can become a bit rough. In this case, simply rubbing them with a piece of cardboard is enough to make the surface smooth again.
